High School Art...

Estelle Hallyday - original 17x20 in - colored pencil on water color paper
Kate Moss - 19x22 in - pencil on water color paper
Sorry for the crappy scans - had to put her back together like Frankenstein - so if she looks messed up that's why.

Made In China...

Here are the first shots of the wax before the vinyl mold is made. Our Neptoon Studios logo is present in the inset on his back - SWEETNESS.
Erick Scarecrow at ESC-TOY LTD. is the project manager and is kickin' some serious arse, making it all run super smooth.
We're hoping to bring the finished CRUSH VINYL to the NY comic-con in Feb...we'll see.

The Archives...

Over the years I've collected tons of printed model sheets (before the internet). They are a great resource for quick ref. for posing. Looking at this pose sheet of Ember I can see the Disney and Bluth influences.

This is Gideon, the same dude as in my previous post. He was one of the main characters in a feature I had written way back when. I've been thinking of trying it as a trilogy for TV. With a fresh take on the designs I think it could make a wicked action fantasy series.
My apologies for the antique art - I've been super busy lately. Better old art than no art.

Foam Heads Are Fun...

...aaaaand a little bit creepy.

Highly Recommended: If you're looking for a cheap way to better understand your drawings - grab a chunk of foam from your couch a dremel tool and go nuts.
Warning: after carving a human head do not store in your basement and forget about it only to open it eight years later. I like to call the guy above "heart attack in a box".

Fresh Out Da Box...

Crush prototype 1 looks sweeter that we could've imagine - pictures do it no justice. Crush 2 is in China being cloned as we speak and we should see some samples shortly.

Sidekick...

Going through my old portfolio stuff. It's funny, I'd never draw a character like this today. My drawing preferences change day to day depending upon what's influencing me at the time. By the looks of it I had been into Clavin and Hobbes when I drew him.
Maybe I'll give him another go - see how I would approach the design 3 years later.
He reminds me of a thumb.

Ganesh Tattoo...

And here it is (ouchies)I designed this Ganesh tattoo to get at Ottawa fest. Sorta mixed it with a tiki head thing and added an Om symbol to its forehead. Ga·nesh (g-nsh) Pronunciation Key also Ga·ne·sha (-nsh)n. Hinduis.
The god of wisdom and the remover of obstacles, son of Shiva and Parvati, depicted as a short fat man with an elephant's head.

Yami 2...

Razz, a humble orphan searching for his missing father stumbles upon Yami 2. Having no memory of his maker Yami 2 and Razz quickly realize that their past is somehow inexplicably linked. Razz learns to harness the power of his robot by using the mysterious Synbitek Key once belonging to his father. Razz joins forces with Mango Jet, a Synbitek engineering prodigy who helps perfect his battle technique to become the master of the world’s most powerful robot.
The invincible Yami 2, fueled by artificial intelligence and a specialized arsenal of unique weapons. An unstoppable robot who’s potential far surpasses its predecessor. Yami 2’s whereabouts have eluded all who desire to control its ultimate power…until now.

Yami 2 is the ultimate anime parody!
It’s a satirical look at all the things that make anime shows great. Limited human animation with awesome full robot animation, crazy messed up lip sync, insane screaming kids, cross dressing villains and of course endless amounts of panning speed lines! Yami 2's the anime show you won’t be embarrassed to enjoy because it’s got street cred.

Neptoon's Habbo Lineup...

Here's the "original" Habbo lineup I had done for Sulake awhile back. We were supposed to have a DVD by now - doesn't look like that's gunna happen any time soon so here they are.
