Concept bg's by Paul Watling
I've been developing this idea for awhile now. I finally have some rough designs I'm happy with. I would imagine these will still go through some changes as the show evolves. I will post some concept bg's shortly.
In case you're wondering, the little guy is Chet...the angry cat poo.
Now all I can pray for is that no one draws any comparisons to Teenage Robot.

Feels like Kauffman meets Chuck Jones, who sees Alex Kirwan, and then bumps into Paul Watling and vomits on the leg of passerbye Chris Battle who in turn has sex with a Mario furry and writes a blog message to Mr. Kauffman.

I definetly feel Teenage Robot.
That secodn BG is really symetrical. I think eliminating one side of the foreground boxes may help.
I like the colors though, very grungy
Another note,
i think the rug and spider web behind the 2 forground boxes kill the depth. They are a little too detailed, even more so than the forground boxes themselves
