One Step at a Time...

Slowly but surely this project is shappin' up.
A couple unexpected set backs though - we had hoped to do a short run to test the waters but ended up having to double our overseas order – oh well, brings the price down for those interested in owning their very own widdle Crushie poo.
A few slight adjustments – Crush no longer has bolts, we're too scared of the possible wrath of Universal. so now he's got a zipper that goes all the way around his neck – way funnier.
Looking forward to some pics of the wax sculpt in the near future.

Kid Stuff...

Turns out I like that first kid too much to give away - he's being replaced with the orange shirt kid above. When alls said and done I think he fits the part better. Similar yet different - to me anyway.

Button Fun...

We're chompin' on the bit as we wait for the CRUSH sculpt pics from Goldmane. My partner (business) spent his weekend coming up with the design for the box and I spent most of my mine making buttons with my kids to release some creative energy.
What fun!

My Dumb Dog...

This is my dog Dolce - I didn't draw it here but there's usually little bits of plastic in his poo like an elastic or hair bobble. And he usually pees on his front legs cuz he can't really stand like this. But this is his look - sorta vacant - not really sure where he's looking. Oh, and he has a knuckle in the middle of his tail.
He's my super bat-dog cat-pig thingy.

Axed...

Here's a couple I was in the middle of roughing out for a development project - axed before I got a chance to finish. Never even got to see the light of day...sigh. I love recycling. With a few tweeks I'm sure I'll find a new home for these two swell teens later.
Didn't quite have the style I was shootin' for anyway.

All Clean...

Here's the clean CRUSH for the sculpter. He requested some slight changes. The feet are bigger, legs thicker at the crotch, bolts close to the neck and the fingers into more of a mitten shape. We also made a few color adjustments. We're working with a rough box template for now until we agree on how tall this muthas gunna stand.
Too bad you can't have that cool thick black line on a toy. Oh well, I still think it looks pretty sweet.

Rough Prototype...

Garnet of Carnival Cartoons said he'd hook me up if I was interested in making a toy - well how could I resist. He and Jared just finished their first toy BUZZ and it's top notch quality. We had been wanting to do it for awhile but just needed the nudge. Thanks Garnet.
Here's a rough rotation of CRUSH that will be used for the sculpt. He'll be Neptoon's first independantly produced toy. Hopfully he'll be the first of many that will be made in this series. See my first blog post way back in Sept 2005 to see Cherri, Crush's love interest.
I'll keep you posted on the progress...

Camp TV Promo...

Well here it is, the "Camp TV" promo - or should I say "Total Drama Island".
It was great teaming up with Fresh and Zoom on this promo. Thanks again to everyone involved - your dedication shows.
The writers' summit was great - tons of fun ideas for the series. Can't wait to get started!
